Radiant has upgraded the full range of contracts which manages the incentives, rewards, and dLP locks on BSC and Arbitrum.
The upgrades largely consist of gas optimization and bug fixes but also include some changes that affect the user experience (detailed below):
1. Custom slippage settings
Users can now define the maximum amount of slippage that they will incur when either zapping or compounding. Furthermore, users can specify the slippage value at which bounty hunters can compound on behalf of users (auto-compounding on the front end).
2. Weekly dLP lock aggregation
Some power users experienced very high gas costs when interacting with the protocol due to the large number of dLP locks that they had accrued. To reduce the number of locks they will from now on be aggregated into one lock within a 6-day period.
The start of any given 6-day period is dictated by unix time. E.g. if the current time is 1696723200 and we divide the number by 518400 seconds (which is 6 days) we get 3273. We can tell that this is the start of a 6 day period because it doesn’t have any decimal numbers. If the resulting number was 3273.5, then 3 of the current 6-day period have passed.
Naturally only locks with the same multiplier will be aggregated.
3. Daily vesting RDNT aggregation
The vesting RDNT aggregation functions similarly to the weekly dLP aggregation. The difference is that new vesting RDNT is aggregated daily instead of weekly.
4. Users can now zap with other assets besides ETH.
Users can now zap into dLP with alternative assets such as USDC, USDT, and DAI to make zapping more convenient. Behind the scenes, the asset is swapped for ETH and then paired with RDNT to provide and lock dLP.
5. Non-rToken rewards
Previously Radiant protocol could only distribute rTokens to dLP lockers. With this upgrade, any ERC20 token can be distributed to dLP lockers. This finally enables the long-awaited distribution of the BAL rewards.
